Must be 18+ to apply. No audition necessary. Since space is limited, be aware that you may be placed on waitlist for your particular instrument. We are always in need of strings. Registration fee may be paid in-person during rehearsal by cash, check, or card.
Fall Session 2026 runs from September 8th-December 1st with a final concert on December 8th at the Lacey Community Center. See our Performances tab for more information about the concert.
New to this Fall Session 2026, SSCO will have two separate groups playing on Tuesday nights in separate rooms of our Griffin School rehearsal venue. The Main Orchestra and our brand new string group, the Sinfonietta. The Sinfonietta is a string group for players with at least one year of experience. Whether you are getting back into playing or looking to grow your skills, this is the group for you! It is perfect for those who might not feel as comfortable jumping right into the main orchestra.
Main Orchestra Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 PM, Griffin School cafeteria
Sinfonietta Rehearsals: Tuesdays. 6:30-7:30 PM, Griffin School band room
